IS Retail Batch Management Active

In IS Retail, when creating Article master i am not able to Maintain Batch Management filed in Logistics Store view. But in Logistics DC view the filed is available. Can any one sugget me how for Logistics store view, Batch field can be maintained. Else is there any logic that in Store view Batch management cannot be done
